Since its establishment in 2008, AMATA K.K. has been taking on challenges in the world of game development.
We are committed to providing unique gaming experiences and opening up new areas of play for all platforms, including VR, consoles, PC, and mobile. Furthermore, we are an indie game developer and publisher. We are proud to discover new talent and to bring the work of indie game developers to the world.

Origin of Company Name
Looking up the word “amata” in a Japanese dictionary will yield the definition “a large quantity; abundance.”
But in addition to merely describing a large number of something, the word was also used in the olden days to mean
both “very” and “great” in expressing the degree of matters.
As such, with the gathering of “many” talents, and encompassing the determination to go forward as a company that will create
“tremendous” entertainment, “AMATA” was chosen as the company name.
